Homemade Pasta (for lasagna!)

The recipe for homemade pasta comes from the Le Cordon Bleu Complete Cooking Techniques book. Ian got me this book for Christmas and I love it!! A warning- this is my first attempt at making pasta. It may not be pretty, but I promise to have nicer looking stuff in the future! The recipe for the lasagna is also included.

Gratin Dauphinois

This recipe comes from Anthony Bourdain's Les Halles Cookbook- Strategies, Recipes and Techniques of Classic Bistro Cooking. I am a big fan of Anthony Bourdain, so when I received this book for Christmas I was like a little kid with a brand new toy!

Everything you need for this recipe!

Slow-Cooker Berry Cobbler

This recipe comes from Fix-It and Forget-It Lightly by Phyllis Pellman Good. I found it quite easy to prepare and very delicious! I wish I had ice cream to serve with it...

Baked Tomato- Cilantro Chicken

This recipe comes from The Family Circle Cookbook- New Tastes for New Times by The Editors of Family Circle and David Ricketts. The cookbook was published in 1992.

Space saving spice idea!

I don't like to have a cluttered kitchen, so a large spice rack is not my ideal kitchen accessory. I used to keep my spices in a drawer, however I wanted them to be easily accessible. Here's a neat idea!

Old Fashioned Deep Dish Sour Cream Apple Pie

This recipe was taken from the Great Beginnings & Happy Endings cookbook by Renny Darling. It was published in 1981. The recipe was not my favorite, but I ended up doing a little something different afterward which made it much better. Pics of that are also included.
